Kathy McCready

Kathy McCready has been on staff with InterVarsity at Marquette since 1989. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a masters degree in horticulture. After working in research for 3 years, she felt called to work with InterVarsity where she helps students "cultivate" their spiritual lives.

"My college years were the most formative time in my spiritual life and InterVarsity really helped me grow in my relationship with God. I want to invest in others the same way people invested in me. What I love most about working with students at Marquette is helping people understand who Jesus is and how much God loves them- seeing them mature in their faith and take risks in life. It's exciting to see God change people's lives. It's such a diverse place and I appreciate how InterVarsity is welcome at Marquette."

Kathy is married to Randy and has a 2 year old daughter, Molly.

Ray Curtiss

Ray has been on staff with InterVarsity at Marquette since the spring of 2002. He is a graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology with a Business Minor. For 10 years he has worked in and with major corporations in the areas of Marketing and Information Technology recruiting - consulting.

Ray volunteered from 1991 to 2000 in Catholic High School Youth Ministry programs. Following Jesus, he left his job in 2000 and spent a year in Europe studying scripture at two Bible schools.

"Growing up I followed any crowd and when I went to college I did the same, I was a ship without a rudder. After college I fell in love with Jesus at a Catholic Men's weekend - CRHP Christ Renews His Parish. Prior to this I knew God yet my relationship with Him was such that He hadn't really impacted my life. Since that weekend all I want to do is to demonstrate & share the love of Christ I found with others; helping them grow in their knowledge of the character of God and applying that knowledge in their day to day faith. I want to help students find answers to life's questions in the Bible. As a result of Jesus being real in my life I was able to follow Him to Europe and now Marquette! Following Jesus has been the best thing I've done in my life."

Ray is married to Danielle, the College Age Pastor at Eastbrook Church.
